Going through two years of a pandemic has really made us realise the importance of capturing not just the epic mountains, but also the special people at your wedding. A pandemic makes you realise that life is so fleeting and those you love may not be around for ever. Which is why when you get married even though you may not want to do them, family photos at a wedding are actually important....

I recently entered two images in the Rise International Photography Awards. Out of thousands of entries across 6 categories both of my images were awarded, which I am beyond chuffed about. My photo of Daniel and Courtney wedding was awarded a 'Bronze Award' and my image of Solveig and Pedro was a FINALIST (top 20 images) and was awarded a 'Silver Award' in the Wedding Category. It is nerve wracking to put yourself out there for possible failure and to have your images critiqued by world class judges in a public arena, but I have found this such an incredible learning experience (few heart palpitations when my image came up for live judging). I am so chuffed to have my photos recognised on a international stage and be awarded from top international judges and masters in photography. x Charlotte Kiri
I am so chuffed to have my work featured on the amazing Together Journal. Rachel and Glenn's wedding was at the amazing Fiordland Lodge. It rained all but 1 hour at this wedding and it shows that as a wedding photographer even on a rainy day you can make magic happen. I am beyond chuffed to have my work alongside so many amazing and trend-setting weddings. You can see the full wedding HERE. x Charlotte
