Sarah & Willy’s wedding was such a reflection of them and their family. I loved how they stayed to true to their roots and did everything they loved on their day using local vendors and having no formalities! We started the day off at the farm house with the boys and got some epic photos with the tee pees then headed along for the first look with Sarah, which was so beautiful in a forest next to the Homested. They had a picnic set up and we did candid family photos and clay bird shooting on the family farm – even Sarah shot clays in her wedding dress, which i thought was so so cool! The ceremony was at their farms neighbouring property at Waiorau Homested. I can’t speak highly enough of this beautiful property. The ceremony was so beautiful with Sarah’s grandma as the flower girl, Willy got a new pair of work boots rather than a ring and Sarah’s ring was made from gold found on their land out at Cardrona, plus their was a tonne of confetti! After canapes and drinks & a few speeches a heli swooped in to take us up for photos at Crown Rock, then we flew back to the hanger to take the door off so I could shoot aerial pics of the tee pee set up.. I think I checked my seat belt a fair few times before we took the door off. Sarah had booked us for our 7 hour package so we took a few snaps of guests mingling and the details then headed home as guests partied into the night. I heard back on good authority the party went on until about 5am! What a epic day!
